Has anyone ever been or know anything about Hawaii?? FH and I are going to book our honeymoon today. We were going to stop in California on the way but now we arent sure, we were thinking of going to a third island in Hawaii. We are definitely going to Maui and Kauai. Anyone have any other suggestions?

Re: Hawaii help
The big Island is cool- it has Volcano nat'l park and Kona (as in the coffee). You can also check out Oahu, but its more popping...its basically a city, but it has Pearl HArbor and Waikiki

Re: Hawaii help
it depends on how many days you are going. we were there for 10 days and went to maui and kauai. if you want to add a third island you should go for 14 days so you have enough time at each island and dont feel rushed. here is a link to my HM review if you want some ideas.

Re: Hawaii help
We are stopping in Vegas for one day and then going on to Oahu, Kauai and Maui. We decided to do Oahu because we have read there is more to do there than on the Big Island. There is good shopping, Pearl Harbor, great restaurants and some other activities on Oahu. HTH.

We are flying into Kauai, then two days in Oahu (FH really wants to do Pearl Harbor) and then Maui. The best volcano stuff is supposed to be on Big Island - but I didn't want to jump around too too much.

ITA - We did Oahu as our third island - we wanted to see Pearl Harbor and we flew non-stop from Newark so we arrived and left from there.
We had friends who went to Lanai and they loved it - it is really quiet though. I believe they stayed at the Four Seasons there.
We also had friends who went to the Big Island and loved it - their pictures were great! They stayed at the Four Seasons as well.
Of the islands we went to, I loved Maui and Kauai the best. Oahu was ok for a short stay but, it's a big city on the beach - with lots of people and traffic - not what I invisioned for Hawaii. I wish we had stayed longer in Maui (we only did 3 nights). We did a week in Kauai (used a timeshare) and that was perfect (we could've cut possibly one day).

Re: Hawaii help
We did our Return trip to HA from Bora Bora. Went to Honolulu stayed @ The Kahala.
Was very nice. My husband dragged me to Pearl Harbor Just not my cup of tea - we got there too late for the boat ride to see the shipwreak. If you want to see the ship wreak Don't BOTHER going unless your prepared to get up at the crack of dawn and wait in line to get a number to be called. Seriously you have to go at 7 am the place is Jam Packed - and than when you leave your always seem to be dealing with Traffic!
I loved the shopping, and the excitement of it all! It was like a mini New York in the downtown area of Wikiki beach.
Restaurants have wonderful food and the sunsets are amAZing! We personally HATED the main Luau they sell for the island called 'Paradise cove' If you go to Honolulu FM me for more details I will be happy to help.
oh ya one more thing we did stop in CA. I have info on that too.
