Hawaii HM Girls?

we are considering doing 11 nights in Hawaii (3 in oahu, 4 in maui, 4 in kauai)

how much spending money do you think is a realistic amount to plan on spending? (i.e. food, activities, etc)

oh woops misread that, i thought you meant the vacation.. i would say prob like $500 at least between activities and food

ooh god you scared me!!! i got a quote for a travel agent for about 7K and i was like omg i have to add another 7k on top of that lol

i think its going to depend on what activites and restaurants you go to. i was thinking prob 1500-2000.

$7k at least just for hotel and flights. Then at least another $2k for food and activites.

I would say about $200 per day - some days you will spend more and some you will spend less!

Did you book yet??????? If you didn't I have a great travel agent she is in the process of booking my honeymoon now!!!!!! I'm going to maui for 5 nights and Kauai for 6 nights. We also accumulated credit card reward points which got us 2 airline tickets. (I have a shopping obsession and he knew what card to give me lol)

FH and I spent about $3,500 on food/excursions in 2007. We were there for a little over 2 weeks (15 or 16 days). We did some very expensive excursions though (flew trikes over waimea canyon which was like $600 for the two of us). I didn't find the food to be super expensive, but the excursions definitely are.

this is being conservative though, i've planned out everything, excusions are very expensive. but it seems like the food is pretty typical of what we spend now for a night out.

I just booked a Hawaii 3 island trip, 13 nights yesterday... My quote was a little under $6K... You should call Costco. I researched a few places and sent out itineraries to TA's... No one could beat their price. They all said Costco gets the best airline prices...

2 night Oahu
6 nights Mahu
5 nights Kuai

Cars on all islands
Flights to each island
& we get breakfast all the nights...Maui $100 credit and 2 free entrees at one of their restaurants... Kuai $150 credit...

alot.....we are bringing about $2k with us and I think thats keeping it conservative. all the excursions are very expensive, at least $200/couple, we plan on doing about 5 or 6, so thats $1k right there, and between little things like gifts and lunch, and then dinner, another $1k.

It really depends on what activities you want to do and what is considered free at the place you are staying at. I hear food is expensive there, so at least $150 a day on food - not accounting for a really nice restaurant.
Hiking would be inexpensive, but zip lining and helicopter rides will be a lot more money. You can try to figure it out on some of the travel sites that list activities...based on what you're both interested in.
