i originally wanted to book on my own but it seems really hard and expensive to coordinate any more than 2 islands and we want three. so im still searching for the perfect TA..

We booked on our own. We used points/miles for a good portion of the trip so it didn't make sense to use a TA.

I would suggest looking into a travel agent.
We booked the flights ourselves bc we used miles but the Hotel we used a travel agent and he saved us quite a bit of money compared to what we priced out ourselves.

Use a travel agent... you'll save a lot. I did a lot of research with on-line travel agents and of course expedia then we went to Liberty Travel when I knew what we wanted to do... try Expedia or something like that first and get a quote from a TA. You'll totally notice a price difference.

We used a travel agent just because it ended up to be cheaper with all the inter island flights...also we got some extras like free breakfast every morning.

Did you stay at the Hyatt? We're staying there at Kauii and Mauii and got the free breakfast. It's worth it I hear b/c one less big expense and we'll have nice dinners.

were staying at the hyatt in kauai and the four seasons in maui. we got free breakfast in both. We're staying in our timeshare in oahu...no free breakfast there

We stayed at the Hyatt on Kauai & Maui. We had the free breakfast. They are great buffets. We thought the one on Kauai was much better, but they were both really good. But watch your food if you leave the table....lol! the birds like to land on the plates and glasses and eat everything up. It was very funny to watch, but you didn't want to eat after they landed on your table.

we did a lot of research online first also, but then booked with a TA, it kinda gave us a sense of security. we always book our ouwn vacations but we felt for our HM we didn't want anything to go wrong and it gave us a contact person in case something came up while we were on the HM. instead of booking online we have a person to turn too.

I'm using a TA...she works for liberty travel(I believe)...but she's gone to hawaii like a million times!!! My friends parents booked through her and said it was the most amazing trip they had ever gone on!
I like to book my travel on my own, but used a TA for our honeymoon. She definitely got us a better price and I found it hard to get the interisland flights.
