We are debating on going to Hawaii (10-14 days). Going to Mauii, kauai and possibly another island. Where are you staying and what is your room rates? Just trying to figure out how much we need to budget. Also, we probably won't be able to afford places like the 4 seasons at 450 min a night - so really interested in deals people found :).

We are going in January.
2 nights @ Waikiki Beachside Hotel--Oahu --this was a cheaper hotel because we just wanted to see pearl harbor.
7 mights @ Hyatt Regency Maui--Maui
Includes car rental in Maui, air from Oahu to Maui, air from JFK to Oahu and back from Maui, Continental breakfast @ Oahu daily, Buffet breakfast daily in Maui, and travel insurance.
$5700.00

Oh, also I heard that the Four Seasons in Maui is overrated. A lot of the girls on this site loved the Hyatt at both maui and Kauai. My travel agent Michelle (sayville liberty travel), who is a doll by the way, told me that the Four seasons was really nice, but the Hyatts had more of a hawaii feel and were just as nice and not as expensive.

Oahu - Sheraton Kuailulani ... not my faveorite hotel but the lowest priced Sheraton in Waikiki
Kauai - Sheraton Poipu - LOVED this place and it was right on the beach
Maui - BEST deal of all $100 a night for a condo in Keihei. I wasn't thrilled with the idea of staying in a condo because I've heard they are all independantly owned & you never know if you'll get a nice one or not. BUT we rented directly through the owner of the condo Kevin. He was great to deal with and eveything was just as described. We also LOVED the memory foam mattress & the central AC....soo nice! We stayed in the Kamole Sands condo but I've heard ther one is even nicer - just wasn't available for us!
It sounds cheesy, but it works to use your AAA card (or someone's AAA card) if you book the hotel online. They never ask for the card when you check in and it's usually a small discount. I did this at the Sheraton and the Marriott in Maui.

I just became a starwood member so I get 35% off most there locations with a the 5th night free. It actually seems pretty good.

Also if you have costco membership. Also try and see their rates...
I was able to get some free nights on points so if you have hotel points, look into that as well! I had points from work travel and I got the credit card for that hotel chain. They gave some additional bonus points and charged some things on the card to get us a few free nights during our honeymoon.

I WENT TO HAWAII LAST YEAR FOR 15 DAYS OHAU-HILTON HAWIIAN VILLIAGE (3 DAYS) KAUAII-HYATT REGENCY (6 DAYS) MAUI-FOUR SEASONS (5 DAYS)
OUR FAV SPOT WAS KAUAII AND MAUI KAUAII IS VERY QUIET AND ROMANTIC AND THE HYATT REGENCY HAS AN AWSOME POOL. MAUII WAS AWESOME THERE WAS MORE TO DO AND THE FOUR SEASONS WAS EXCELLENT.
WHEN WE BOOKED OUR TRIP WE BOOKED ALL WATER FRONT ROOMS WHEN WE GOT TO THE FOUR SEASONS THEY UPGRATED OUR ROOM TO A CRAZY SUITE WITH 3 BATHROOMS DINING ROOM, IT WAS AMAZING. THERE KNOWN TO DO THAT FOR NEWLY WEDS SO THAT A PERK. WE SPENT 12,500 ON OUR TRIP, WE ALSO FLEW FIRST CLASS, BUT IT WAS WORTH EVERY PENNY. YOU WILL HAVE A GREAT TIME ON YOUR HOMEYMOON IN HAWAII!!!!!!!!! LOTS OF LUCK.
