Hawaii Honeymoon-Just my Opinion

If you can somehow work Kaui into your trip, you won't be disappointed. It is breathtaking. The Hyatt and Marriott are both gorgeous hotels. Oahu is very commercialized and you could probably see what you want to in a day or two--spend your time elsewhere!

We got engaged in Hawaii. We went to the big Island and stayed at the Royal Kona Resort, it was the old Hilton. It was nice, and near a lot. It has a little lagoon and there's a luau there. You probably want to stay on the Kona side versus the Hilo side. The new Hilton is beatiful, but probably expensive. There's not to much near it though. By the Royal Kona Resort, there's a lot of restaurants, even the Hard Rock Cafe.

The big Island has so much to do, we needed a vacation after being there a week. We drove everywhere. The water falls are on one side and the Volcanoes are on another and there are a bunch of beaches, white sands, black sands and green sands, to see the green sands is about a 5 mile walk, but we did it.

How many days are you planning to stay? We too are going to Hawaii for 11 days. We picked the islands of Maui and Kauia. I was told by our travel agent that there's just as many things to do in Maui as in Oahu however Maui isn't as congested. Kauia is one of the smaller islands and is more laid back. It's suppose to be beautiful. I think it really depends on how many days you'd be spending there. You wouldn't want to spend most of your time packing and unpacking.

Thanks so much everyone! I feel much better about this now! I am going to try RK Bridal and Davids Bridal first! Who knows I might find my dress right away!

Hawaii Honeymoon

We are spending 4 nights in Maui at the Four Seasons and then taking a 7 day cruise of Oahu, Maui, the Big Island (both sides) and Kuaui with United States Cruise Line.

If your veil is going to be attached to your head with a comb and/or many bobbypins, I suggest you have the hairdresser do it. You can just put it over your arm until you are ready.

Have fun!

Just back from Hawaii

Any recommendations on hotels in Maui and Kaui?

I haven't yet but I heard the cakes are fantastic. When I was over there last I bumped into someone who had just done the tasting and she said the cake was unbelievable. Since my wedding is not until 9-16-01, I guess I have some time. Let me know please after you have gone!
