Hawaii honeymoon costs

My cousin just got engaged and they really want to go to Hawaii for their honeymoon. They have heard prices of 10,000.00 + . I was wondering if anyone going to Hawaii could let me know approx $$$ they are spending, if you got any great deals, etc. Any information would be great.

10,000 - a bit high, well I guess depending on how long they're going, and where they are staying. I think the average on these boards is around $5000

They are interested in 10 days to 2 weeks. Open to any suggestions. 10,000.00 is too much, they are looking for better deals.

Well, I'm staying in 2 islands, Maui and Kauai 10 nights for only ~5800 incl. insurance.
What islands are they interested in? Do you need a TA? I can give you the TA a lot of us have been using and getting good deals if you want

I have not booked my HM yet but am using the same TA as lizlen and for 10 dys we would be paying around $3600

i haven't actually booked mine yet, but prices i have been getting on the internet for 6 days are btw $4000 and $5000. 10 seems a little high even for two weeks.

I think $4-6 sounds more average for the plane and hotel fares but the $10 that your cousin heard might be everything total including food, doing things like scuba or snorkeling, souveniers etc....I am not sure but just my thoughts on it!

Edited to say 10 still seems high but those other things might bring it up a little more!

Wow, Hawaii is very expensive...I saw a website that quote $3500. That was for 2 places - Maui and Ohau. Hotel for 10 nights, a car, flight to Hawai and back, travel between islands. I'll try to get the website tonight.

We are staying on 2 islands for a total of 12 days, and paying under $5k for air, hotel, interisland air and car rental. You can def. get a good price, if you go with 3 or 4 star hotels, or cut down the number of islands.
