We're thinking of going to hawaii and I was hoping to exchange my timeshare to make it more affordable, however, the only availabilities through my timeshare are on Kauai and Hawaii the big island, does anyone have any info on either of these islands. I know the most popular is oahu, but there was no availability there.
Thanks in advance!

Re: Hawaii Honeymoon Help
Kauai is the most romantic of the islands. It's where they filmed Jurassic Park so if you liked the way that looked. It's just beautiful. It's very quiet though. It's not the big party island like Oahu is.
The last time I went to the Big Island was back in the mid-90's. I remember it being a little bit more lively than Kauai but not as pretty.
It really depends on what you're looking to do though.
You can't go wrong either way. I love Hawaii and can't wait to go back for the HM!!

We loved kauai. We both agreed that if we ever went back that is the island we'd want to go to. We were warned before hand that's it's boring and there's not much to do but we liked it so much more than maui. I haven't been to the big island so I can't comment on that.

kaui is my favorite!!! i dont tihnk oahu is really the most popular as for hawaii... its cool b/c you can see the volcanoes, they have the macadamia nut farms, the southern most part of the US
Any island you go to in hawaii is beautifulll!

Kauai is very romantic and relaxing, we actually do NOT plan on going here. FH & I like more sightseeing and more adventurous stuff, so we are going to the big island instead. The big island has more to do. But if you looking for R&R then go to kauai.

Re: Hawaii Honeymoon Help
As mentioned by quite a few ladies, Kauai is fantastic. It's absolutely gorgeous...while it's quieter than some of the other islands, there is still a lot to do (we went on a helicopter tour that was great...there's a lot of other stuff to do too)
Being able to use your timeshare on Kauai is a great thing!!
