Ok, we are going to Hawaii and were planning on doing 2 nights Honolulu, 5 nights Maui and 6 nights Kauai.
We are thinking of staying at the Four Seasons in Maui but the room we want is not available during our dates. But if we do Kauai first and then Maui, we can stay at the Four Seasons.
Has anyone stayed at the Four Seasons? The rate we will get is about $200 more than the Sheraton or the Marriott. Is it worth it? And what about going to Kauai first? Is that a good idea? It's supposedly more relaxing so I wanted to do it last but if we want to stay at the Four Seasons we don't have a choice.

We stayed at the Four Seasons in Maui and honestly, it was heaven on earth. We loved it.
We stayed in Maui at the four seasons first and went to Kauai and stayed at Grand Hyatt. We wished we had done it the other way around because when we got to the Grand Hyatt it felt very different compared to what we just had at the Four Seasons!
If we could do it all over, we would have stayed at the Four Seasons in maui and the Four Seasons on Lanai!

We are doing the Hyatt on Kauai and the 4 Seasons in Maui (in that order) - totally psyched!
Ok thats what I'm going to do. 5 nights in Kaui then 6 nights in Maui. I got a great deal on the Grand Hyatt. I'm so excited!

Definitely stay longer in Maui. I loved Kauai but there's more to do in Maui.
The Grand Hyatt is amazing - just be prepared to pay a lot for drinks, food, etc. I can't wait for the HM!
Helpful hint for all girls going to Hawaii: go to the ABC store (they're all over Hawaii) and get some snacks and drinks for the room - it will save you a ton of $$$.
If I remember correctly a lavaflow (my favorite Hawaiian drink) was $13 at the Grand Hyatt! A Kona Longboard (the Hawaiian beer) was something like $9. You can go to the ABC store and get a six pack and some cups and bring your own drinks down to the pool.

we stayed at the grand hyatt in kauai and the four seaons in maui. we are so glad we did it in that order.
the four seasons in maui is quite possibly the greatest place in the world. it is unbelievably amazing! i just want to go back - now to convince DH it's a good idea for our anniversary....
