we are doing:

Oahu - 4 nights - Outrigger Waikiki on the beach (nothing too fancy, but right on Waikiki)

Kauai - 8 nights - Grand Hyatt Kauai (absolutely incredible, beautiful hotel and a great spa)

Maui - 11 nights - Hyatt Regency (great location, penguins in the lobby and again, a great spa).

We've stayed at all these hotels before and loved them so much, we're going back!

Outrigger in Oahu is awesome...its such a great location. I loved Duke's and the fact that its right on the beach and also right across from the little shopping area. If I was going back to Oahu I would go back there also. Enjoy it!

Re: HAWAII HONEYMOONERS

I just got back from my honeymoon in hawaii three days ago.
I went to Maui for five nights (hyatt) and to Kauai for four nights (grand hyatt).
If I could do it all over again I would do 7 nights in Maui and 3 in Oahu. Everyone says not to do Oahu bc its a 'big city' ...and Kauai is very lush...which it is. I felt like we saw the best of hawaii in Maui. It was very lush, and beautiful...but also had a small downtown area (front stree). Kauai is gorgeous but not much to do. The Hyatt there is super amazing but HUGE... after being in Maui, we just didnt like it as much.
I wished that I stayed in Maui longer, and then did Oahu so i could actually see an active volcano. We will be going back and that is what we will do.
Hyatt in Maui is awesome, big hotel with a small hotel feel.
We walked the whole stip of hotels on that side of the island.... and the marriott there seemed WAY too big. Seemed very residential... not like a hotel. Plus they were doing a lot of construction. Everyone laying out had to hear drilling all day.
The Sheraton at the end of the line was the next nicest hotel to the Hyatt...and had a MUCH better beach. The Sheraton is a destination for snorkeling etc (the black rock). If you stay here the ocean front rooms are literally feeeeeeeet from the water. Id def consider staying there... even though the grounds and pool at the hyatt are much nicer.
FM me with any questions. Sorry for babbling!!

PS if you go to Maui def bring hiking boots...which I did NOT do~.... I hiked down to the olivine pools and the blow hole in flip flops~ what an idiot I am!! Dangerous...but well worth the experience!

Edited to add- def buy the 'revealed' guide books. They are awesome... and provide maps for everything, and if you have gps...they provide actual coordinates that you can use to get EXACTLY where you want to go. Very helpful. They also give really honest reviews of restaurants... and helped us go to a lot of privately owned authentic places off the hotel grounds without feeling like we were taking a chance!
