Hawaii Honeymooners..did you..

rent a car?? we are thinking of not to reduce the price of our package. we are going to maui and Kauai.

yup we did.....on maui for a few days! In my opinion, the road to hana is a must see!!!!

We rented a jeep wrangler and took the top down for what turned out to be one of the most amazing and scenic days!!! We also used it to drive to our ziplining course as well as to see beaches off the beaten path. Kinda a must on maui if you want to leave your resort!

You can hop in and out of cabs very easily in Wailea!

Everyone I spoke to said it's basically a must to rent a car. Since there are no 'all inclusives' you don't want to be stuck in one place. Hawaii is a great place to explore!

edit- ritz would be from 8/24- 8/29.

Pretty much everywhere you'd want to explore on these two islands you'd need a car. From the volcanos, to the road to hana, you definitely need to rent in Maui...I'd recommend a car in Kauai if you want to leave the resort. Very rural and you'd definitely want to explore. Check out my review and let me know if you have questions on anything specific!

honestly we did 5 nights Kauai and 6 nights Maui and we still didnt see everything there was to see. We saw the major things and I definitely think we got the hawaii experience. If you want to see more pics IM me and I'll send you the links to my FB albums. This way you can see real pics and narrow down the places you really want

I just got back from Maui two days ago. IMO you def. should rent a car. Most excursions are in various locations and you dont want to rely on the shuttles to get there. It was much easier to get around on our own and more relaxing to come and go as we please. There is so much to see and do we didn't want to be trapped by a shuttle schedule.

I stayed at koa kea also......AMAZING!!!!!! fm me ur email address bc when I came home I sent soontobemrsbrown a long email about the koa kea. It was just great youll love it. But you def need a car while u are there...most excursions dont pick u up frim ur hotel.
