Hawaii Hotels

Has anyone ever stayed at the Westin Princeville Ocean Resort Villas in Kauai? I'm looking into it for my honeymoon. It's a resort choice on my mom's timeshare company cuz she's letting me use it. I also checked out tripadvisor which had a lot of good reviews. Anyone have any input?

Also, we are looking into Maui also. Either the Hyatt, Sheraton, or Westin. Any thoughts about those? We are looking for something that won't be too overcrowded with kids lol. Thanks!!

We stayed at the Grand Hyatt in Kauai - we went up towards Princeville a couple of days because we did the hike on the kalalau trail and hung out in Hanalei another day. Hanalei is a cute little hippie town. However, we did notice more families vacationing up at that end of the island than down in Poipu where the Hyatt is.

I have also stayed at the Sheraton Black Rock in Maui - which was really nice and on the best section of the beach. Great snorkeling and lots of sand. It was a really nice hotel.

Last time FH and I went we stayed at the Hyatt Regency in Maui - LOVED it and we're going back for the HM! Can't wait.

There were definitely more families in general on Maui than on Kauai. However most of the resorts have 'adult only' pools, etc.
