ok guys i always wanted to go to hawaii for my honeymoon but i hear all the great things about st lucia- i'm torn. i would do the sandles at st lucia- my problem is hawaii is so expensive & i am not sure if we can afford it especially that we are paying for our whole wedding. any other ideas where to go thats like a beachy. probably for 10 days.i was also thinking about dominican republic or somewhere in mexico- like accupulco-i heard its beautiful there too

Hawaii is expensive but I would still rather go to Hawaii. I am going there though so I am baised. We look at it like this, we are going to splurge on our honeymoon because who knows when we will be able to take another vacation like that again.

Karen...i feel u!! me and FH are talkin about the same places...we either want to do a cruise to hawaii OR sandals st lucia....we are beach/hot weather people...so not sure we will have to do some major research!
at least there is time!!

my cousin went to Hawaii on her honeymoon and she LOVED IT -
however, since she has been to like almost every vacation spot . . . that it wasnt worth the price.
while she had a perfect honeymoon she felt that she could have had the same experience on any tropical island and saved A LOT of money
even breakfast was like $50 every day and they tried really hard to budget. . .
of course everyone is going to have a different opinion BUT i value hers because she has been to so many more places than i have been to!
on the other hand i would definitely splurge for Australia - my brother loved it there. . .
