Hey, does anyone approximately how much it costs to do 10 days in Hawaii? Is it possible to do it for around $5000?

Re: Hawaii Question
We're looking into Hawaii, and it seemed like airfare was at least $1200 each round trip.

Re: Hawaii Question
I would try contacting a travel agent.
I have a guide book for hawaii (we are going there for HM). One cheap option is to rent condos instead of hotel rooms. This gives you a small kitchen to cook breakfast/lunch and save some money on food. Also, there are some really affordable condos available in maui and the big island (the book said you can get on the big island for as little ast $100 per night).
The book I have is Pauline Fromer's Hawaii Guide (title is something like that). It is for budget travelers and has a lot of good advice.

Re: Hawaii Question
Check liberty travel for prices to get an idea first. Hawaii is not all inclusive so you have to pay for meals. (there may be some AI, but I'm not sure and they are most likey ) FH's aunt and uncle are on a cruise now. It may be cheaper b/c you can eat all meals on the cruise . They went for 3 days prior to the cruise and breakfast for 2 was $50 and they are not big eaters at all.
I have heard of people spending more like $8-10,000 on a Hawaiian HM, but I don't know what class of hotel they stayed at.

Re: Hawaii Question
we're spending 14 days there, and our budget is $5000. i think it's doable as long as you compromise on accomodations, meals, and stuff. bear in mind the activities cost a fair amount as well.

Re: Hawaii Question
It is definently possible, depending on what hotel u stay at. If u stay are the four seasons, no...but if ure willing to compromise...absolutely!

Re: Hawaii Question
I would do your research First before you book with a travel agent.. I booked with Liberty But I did all the searching for air fare and everything my Prices were coming out a little better and she had to beat them...
I am doing a 10 night Honeymoon and we paid a great price..
