Re: hawaii questions

We are staying in Kauai at Marriot Kauai Resort and Beach Club (four stars and pics are gorgeous!) ...we are in Eastern LI as well but we are not using a travel agent...you are better off using Orbitz and doing it yourself. Continental has non-stop flights to and from...I will keep you posted as we get more done...but it will save you money.

Re: hawaii questions

We are going to maui and kuai too. There are flights that go to Maui but they are not direct flights like those going to Oahu on Continental. In Maui and Kuai we are staying at the Hyatt. We used a travel agent in Commack, Liberty Travel (sharon). We priced 2 other travel agents and she gave us a better price by almost a thousand. The good thing about using a travel agenct is that they have access to promotions that you cant get by doing it yourself, so we actually saved money by using her.

Re: hawaii questions

We stayed at the Westin in Maui and loved it!

We stayed at a timeshare resort in Poipu and then at the Princeville. The Princeville was gorgeous! We went over to the Hyatt when we were in Poipu and it was beautiful as well.

The flights between Maui and Kauai are very short, about 30 minutes. Make sure when you book that you get a non-stop flight, some have a stop in Oahu.

You can fly into Maui from the mainland U.S., not from NY though. My friend did it on American Airlines via Chicago I believe.

Have a great time, I can't wait to get back there!

The Hilton
The Princeville
Kauai Marriott
Sheraton
The Grand Hyatt

The flight between islands is just about an hour.

Re: hawaii questions

In both Maui and Kauai we stayed at the Hyatt. We LOVED the Hyatt in Kauai!!!! Kauai is more of a relaxing island so it was great to have a hotel with everything there.

We flew from JFK to Kauai first and then took the interflight which was about 40 minutes to Maui. That flight went fast.

If you need anymore info send me FM.

Good Luck!

Re: hawaii questions

We stayed at the Hyatts on both Islands. At the time, if you booked at least 7 days in Hyatts, they gave you a free breakfast buffet. It was an incredible buffet too! I think the going rate was $25 for each person/day.

We're doing the Westin in Maui & SHeraton in Kauai. I booked everything through Liberty Travel (massapequa but there all over the place)...
It includes:
convertables on both island
flight there and back including island hopper flight between islands (which i think is 25 min)
10 night total came to a little over 5k
