HAWAII QUESTIONS-- OK- Last Hawaii Question- I Promise

If you are going to Hawaii for HM, which islands are you visiting, for how long?

Which hotels are you staying at- why did you choose them and what category room are you booked in?

I STILL CAN'T DECIDE!

We're going to Maui and Kauai for 11 nights...

Maui-staying at the Fairmont Kea Lani in an oceanview suite for 5 nights.

Kauai-staying at the Hyatt in a mountain view or garden view (I have to double check which one we booked) for 6 nights.

Good luck!

Re: HAWAII QUESTIONS-- OK- Last Hawaii Question- I Promise

We are deciding between Hawaii and Tahiti - but if we go to Hawaii I plan on going to/staying at:

Big Island - Sheraton Keauhou Bay
Maui - Four Seasons
Kauai - Princeville Resort
and Maybe:
Lanai - either the Manele Bay Hotel or the Lodge at Koele (depends on how much time I can get off)

With the exception of the Four Seasons, all of the other hotels are owned by the company I work for and I plan on cashing in on some favors and using my employee rate.

Why did I pick those islands? Everyone raves about Maui and Kauai and I haven't heard nearly as many good thing about Oahu, so I am skipping it.

Hope that helps a bit!

2 nights - oahu- outrigger on the beach - 4*
6 nights- maui- hyatt regensy resort & spa- 5*
6 nights- big island- hilton waikoloa village- 5 *

libery travel w/ a jeep, and inter island travel plane tix= $7000

we're doing oahu- b/c fh wants to see pearl harbor.

maui- b/c it suposed to be the best.

and big island- to do volcano and national park tours and hikes.

we're each putting almost 1/2 our paycheck away to save.
but hopefully it will all be worth it.

We're staying at Maui for 7 nights because I heard there is lots to do there. (Hyatt)
NExt, Kauai for 5 nights since I heard it's beautiful and romantic, but hardly any nightlife. (also, hyatt)
We are staying in mountainviews because partial ocean would cost us 800 dollars more and we were told, doubt it happens, but that there could be a slight possibilty we could get upgraded.
Even if we don't, we figured we would see plenty of the ocean and we don't plan on being in our rooms during the day anyway.
Hopefully, we made a good decision.

My MOH went to Maui and Lanai and LOVED Lanai. She said Maui (Four Seasons) was great, but they said Lanai was more like paradise. Another friend LOVED Molokai (Castle Resorts). I'm leaning towards Maui-Westin Ka'anapali since FH has a connection there, Lanai- Manele Bay, and Molokai- Lodge or Castle Resorts if we can swing that much time off. How long are you going for?

We're doing a Cruise around Hawaii. This way we get to see all the islands, don't have to pack up to change hotels, and food is included ALL the time.

I stayed on the Big Island at the Hilton Waikoloa Village. Check out the website for it. Its amazing.

On Maui I stayed at the Westin Kaanapoli Shores

I really didnt care for Oahu. Too Commercial.

We are spending 6 nights in the Maui Four Seasons. One night in the Hotel Hanna Maui and 5 nights in the Kauai Marriott Beach Club and Resort. During one of days in Maui we are going on a day trip to the big island.

We are flying first class back and forth.
Hope this helps.

Working on a review now but we stayed at the Fairmont Orchid on the Big Island (A+++++) and the Ritz Carlton on Maui (A+) - we had a blast on both Islands!
