Hawaii Summer Cruise

Hawaii Summer Cruise

Attn. Summer Brides,
Quick bit of news I wanted to share: Next year, there is only going to be one cruise ship sailing Hawaii during the summer months. If your fiance and you were considering a Hawaii Cruise for your honeymoon....you may want to look into it sooner than later to avoid disappointment. As soon as I heard this, we booked immediately. Best of luck.

Hope this helps,
Kim

What cruise line is it?

Norweigan Cruise Line: Pride of America

The majority of cruise lines sail to Alaska during the summer months....most popular summer cruise tour....NCL is the only major cruise ship that sails Hawaii during summer months. Next year they are reducing their ships from 3 to 1. Since cruise lines cannot easily dock in an international port, a lot of cruise ships don't sail there because it costs them more money. Instead of following international laws, they have to follow US laws which are a lot tighter and more costly.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

We took that cruise line 2 years ago to Hawaii. The whole vacation experience was wonderful BUT....the service was not great (compare to other cruises like Caribbean/Alaska)
The staff were Americans and they think that they are on vacation too. They didn't do our bed until 3PM, they complaint to us while serving breakfast (like they don't get enough tip or they have to get up so early to work, etc), they gave us 1 towel a day (mind you DH is 6'2 so by the time he finished its already soak). I can write down a list on how bad the service.

Hawaii is truly a beautiful island, and if you're planning to go there, I recommend going to one of the island rather than taking the cruise.

we found the quality and service to be a little lacking when we cruised NCL to bermuda. the boat was run-down. the staff was not especially helpful with the exception of our chambermaid, who was incredibly attentive and witty! it's not that it was bad because we loved LOVED bermuda, but the whole cruise experience was just kinda..meh the quality of everything has been better when i've opted to stay in hotels.

Re: Hawaii Summer Cruise

Thank you for the feedback. I'm definitely going to talk to my agent about it. My fiance and I love cruises and knew we wanted to cruise for part of our honeymoon. When we found out that NCL is reducing ships, we immediately held our spot. I'm definitely going to find out more information about the service onboard. We normally sail on Princess...NCL is new for us.
