we did both! 2 nights in tahiti and then a 10 night cruise from tahiti to hawaii stopping at 8 islands in french polynesia/south pacific in all!

They're both supposed to be gorgeous.
I personlly am not a plane person. Me and DH don't like flying, so we just figured it was pointless to go to Hawaii and go so far, when St Lucia was about 4 1/2 hours, and that was far enough for us. AND JUST AS BEAUTIFUL, actually more!!! It has nothing to dowith Hawaii being expensive b/c what we spent on our 2 story villa honeymoon suite w/ private plunge pool and butler, we could have went to Hawaii, but we just really didn't care about it all that much. Theres beautiful water anywhere in the Caribbean. And Hawaaii, there so much to see, me and Dh aren't into all that sightseeing!

I think it depends on what type of hm you are looking for. They're both beautiful places, but i think tahiti is more of a very relaxing type of vacation, but everyone says there are alot of daytime excursions...Hawaii there is probably alot more to do though. Either way you probably can't go wrong.

I've never been to Tahiti but I've been to Hawaii. It was Amazing. I spent 2 weeks there and I still did not do everything that I wanted to do. There are so many activities. And there is something for everyone. The Luaus are the best!!!!!!!! I went to Oahu but my Fiancee has never been, so we are thinking about Island Hopping and Only doing a couple of days in Oahu. I hope this helps!!!!!!

Were going to go to hawaii!!!! My Fh cousins just went to Tahiti, and they loved it.
