Hawaii weather

My fiance said that it is rainy season in Hawaii in July so we shouldn't go there for our honeymoon. Is that true that it is rainy season?

Re: Hawaii weather

My FH and I were there (Oahu & the Big Island) in July of 2001 for 1-1/2 weeks and hardly saw rain. We were threatened by a big hurricane, but fortunately it missed us. The only time we encountered rain was when we were on the Big Island driving from Kona to Waimea Valley. The island has extreme climate changes in certain areas. There's actually a town where often it rains on one side of the street and not the other!!! (You can see the difference in the grass.) Other than that, we never saw rain.

Re: Hawaii weather

Michelle:

Thanks so much for posting that website! My wedding is next month - and my FI started telling me 'I think September is hurricaine season'! And I was like -- ACK! That's all we'd need --> sitting inside after spending $5K to lay in the sun!

What is it with these guys!

Thanks again!

Re: Hawaii weather

I'm going to Hawaii also, I heard there really is no real hurricane/rainy season. It's usually warm and beautiful most of the time, as for rain, it's just hit or miss.
