I am thinking about a honeymoon in Hawaii-- which islands are the best and why, and which resorts are the good? There are so many and I don't even know what to look at!

I always hear good things about Maui..but I haven't been there...my sister was just there...she loved it.
I've been to Oahu (Honolulu) twice and enjoyed myself immensely. I don't care how 'commercial' it is..the beach and palm trees kept me happy! Oh yeah, the people there are amazingly friendly!!! Big plus there...

I always reply to these posts because I LOVED the 4 Seasons Wailea on Maui. Gorgeous place, amazing service, wonderful restaurants, more laid back/quieter (at least when we were there) than the larger Wailea resorts, and I think Wailea is a bit quieter than Lahaina and Kaanapali, but I've heard many people love those areas too. I'm just all for laid back & quiet, and the 4 seasons did it for me!!

We stayed at the Sheraton in Kauai and we loved it! Right on Poipu Beach, very friendly staff, BEAUTIFUL grounds, included daily HUGE breakfast buffet, nightly Happy Hour!
