What are the best islands to go to in Hawaii? We booked our flight into Oahu and we will be staying 16 nights.
Any suggestions? We are looking to do things, and not necessarily just lay on the beach (although if it were up to me that is ALL that I would be doing)!

We enjoyed Maui, we did the road to Hana, and biking down Haleakala.
We also went to Oahu and went to Hanauma Bay and Pearl Harbor
There is a snorkel trip that is supposed to be good too.

we went to maui,oahu, kauai kauai--more mellow relaxing mauai-a lot to see and do--my favorite! oahu--i think you only need a few days (1-3) here just to see the beaches and pearl harbor i bump some info for you!

Wow 16 days! Lucky! We are going to Hawaii for 9 night/10 days and I thought that was good! We have to go to Oahu as FH's friend lives there...so we'll stay there for a few days and then I'd like to go to Maui & Kauai. I haven't booked anything yet. The cheapest flights I see are $700...is that good?

Yeah, I know 16 days! That is b/4 we book hotels so I hope we get a good deal.
We are flying direct via Contential and we got our tickets for $600 each!
We thought that was good so we booked it.

fh parents are giving us thier time share we were looking to go to the marriot in kauai for 7 days possibly doing a stop over in vegas..
so kauai isn't really intereting????

I know someone who went on their honeymoon and one stop was Kauai for 5 days. They actually left their honeymoon early and left after 2 days. It all depends on what you like to do. From what i've heard... kauai really has not much to offer besides the beautiful land. There isn't a nightlife at all. But if you and your FH can sit around, read, sit on the beach, and not go out at night... then you'll be okay. I'm sure if my friend went to Kauai first right after the wedding, they would have been fine because they would like the down time.
go on www.tripadvisor.com. Some people love it there and some don't. If you're very active and you like a little nightlife... then it might not be the island for you. Good luck
