Hawaii - Which package should I choose??

I have 3 different hotel quotes/packages for Hawaii. Which should I go for? They are all for 1 week in Maui and 3 nights in Kona (big Island):

1. Westin- Maui (Kaanapali Beach)& Hilton - Kona $4449.44

2. Renaissance Wailea (with $75 Food& Bev included) & Hilton - Kona $4259.00

3. Marriott Wailea (Bkfast for 2 daily) & Hilton-Kona $4319.00

They are all modest rooms with possibility to upgrade.

Which would you do???

I think you shouldn't miss Kauai. Of all the islands it my favorite by far.

WE just got back from hawaii we did Kuai, Oahu, and Maui. Didnt do Kona but was thinking of HIlton, the brochure is awesome.
If you want to swim the dolphins there book now. I got shut out when we were there and trying to plan a island hopper trip.
Anyway to your questions, on Maui we stayed at Four Seasons and wer upgraded on our room.
We went to the Luau at Marriot its two resorts down from Four Seasons it was very nice.
Its a good pick. However, next door there was construction going on I dont know when your going but its a good thing to inquire about.
I hope it helped. Good Luck

I had heard that Westin rooms are that big considering their price. Which could be true as I actually stayed in one in Boston and I have to say I've never stayed in a smaller room hotel room ever. However it was nice and the bathroom had marble floors and countertops.

I've never heard for the Renaissance one.

I like the idea of the free breakfasts. They can run you some $$ sometimes.

eta: talk to your travel agent, they should know what hotels are the best (and if they're good they won't try to get you to take the most expensive package). also check fodors or another travel guide for hotel reviews, if that is waht you are most concerned about.

We visited Kauai, Kona and Maui. Although beautiful, sedate and lucious, Kauai was a bit too slow for us. Kona was awesome if you're interested in exploring the only active volcano on the Islands. We took a helicopter ride and then drove around the crater. Maui - what's not to love about Maui, so much to do!

We stayed at the Four Seasons on both Islands. I will be honest with you, the Four SEasons on Kona was PHENOMENAL!!! It was really expensive but worth every buck.
Look into it. To balance out the cost, we got a less expensive room in Maui. Note: The Four Seasons also has pkgs such as stay 5 night, get one for free. Call the hotels directly.

Those packages you quoted don't seem that much cheaper. GOOD LUCK!

I didn't go to the big Island. I did Maui and Kauai which I loved. In Maui, I liked the Wailea area much better. I stayed at the Fairmont Kea Lani which was fabulous. You may want to look into it. I don't remember much about the hotels you mentioned but I know someone who stayed at the Renaissance and really enjoyed it. There was construction getting started near the Kea Lani in May. It honestly made no difference to me but you may want to check with your travel agent about that too.
