we stayed there... loved it. We stayed in Kauai first and that Hyatt is definitely nicer than the Maui one... but we also loved the Maui one. It is so close to lahaina which is good since a lot of the restaurants and shops are there and you'll probably go there more than 1 night.. not sure how long you are staying. I did say though if i ever went back to Maui i'd try staying on the south side of the island where the four seasons is .... that area has better beaches but is far from Lahaina.. so... you can't have it all! lol hawaii is awesome so you really can't lose anywhere you stay. Just something to know... we weren't impressed w/ the luau at the Hyatt in maui.. so i'd try a different one if you were planning to attend a luau. If you have any specific questions let me know!
We stayed at the Westin on Maui and it was beautiful. The pool was great, and we were close to lots of resturants and shopping which was really nice.
We stayed at The Royal Lahaina....They just did a 30 million dollar renovation and we loved it!
We stayed at the Hyatt and loved it.! Free buffet breakfast every morning which was delicious! Maui is amazing...so much to do! I have some pics in my album if you are interested.
