hawaiian honeymoon cruise?

We want to go to hawaii for our honeymoon, and we want to be able to see various islands without spending tons of money. I looked into cruising hawaii and I found that norwegian cruise lines has a new ship called pride of america that leaves from honolulu and has a great itinerary. It doesn't seem too expensive and I like that we're not 'at sea' for a lot of days. Has anyone else looked into this cruise or cruised hawaii before? This ship's maiden voyage is jul. 4, 2004. We would go the week after (jul. 11). You can go to www.ncl.com and find out more about it. Please give me any feedback on cruising hawaii!!

my parents went a few years back and it wasn't their favorite cruise ever (they go twice a year) but they're also in their 50's, so i wouldn't use them as a barometer for fun vacations!!
i think it's a great way to see the islands!!

Fh and I are also investigating a Hawaiian cruise for the same reasons. The honeymoon research is his assignment, I'm not sure if he stumbled upon Norweigian yet. I'm interested to hear feedback as well from others.....

That where we are going on our Honeymoon. I heard its beautiful. I can't wait. We did it for the same reason, we didn't wast to island hop and live out of a suitecase.
My sisters BIL is a travel agent and he highly recomended Norweigian...he said its a new ship and its beautiful...great reviews

We are going on the NCL Star in March. SOooo excited!!! We also added to our HM in doing a pre-cruise and post cruise stay.
I keep hearing on cruisecritic.com that the Pride of America is supposed to be amazing.

my FH is really excited about this cruise since we wanted to go to HAwaii but were concerned we couldn't afford it. I think the cruise is a great way to see several islands, have included food and entertainment and not spend a million nights at sea. we are looking into the december cruise. i cant wait until we can all get some reviews about this crusie! i'll pass along any info i find and please all, do the same!

I'm glad to see all this information for a hawaiian honeymoon cruise, because we are considering one too. I was actually curious about NCL because they are one of the few that has a Hawaiian cruise around our date (OCT 17 2004)

I can't wait for the feedback too! I went to the Travel agent yesterday and was pretty depressed with the quote we got for Hawaii. Realistically, we can't afford it. The cruise seems like an awesome alternative.
