Hawiian Honeymoon Question

Hawiian Honeymoon Question

We are stil deciding on a HM destination and Hawaii came up in convo the other day. I noticed that some of you 2011 brides are going to Hawaii for your HM. FH and I would prefer an all inclusive HM and I figured I'd ask if any of you actually found an all inclusive in Hawaii. The only legit one I found is called Kona Village Resort.

If you aren't staying in an all inclusive; what resort/hotel are you staying in anyway?

we haven't worked out the details of the trip but all inclusive is very difficult to find on Hawaii. We were thinking of doing a 1 week cruise around the islands and then just staying on one for a few days.

Yes I think I found the only one! I also looked at the cruise option which sounds fab but FH wants to fly somewhere and stay in one spot unfortunately (which I don't mind LOL).

i only found that one resort that is all inclusive but if you want to do all inclusive - try sandals. especially St Lucia. the REgency is fabulous!

We want to go all inclusive but then it narrows down your choices!

I went to a travel agent yesterday and she basically said the only all inclusive destinataions are as follows:

Jamaica
St Lucia
Turks and Caicos
Mexico
Antigua
Bahamas

If you go to Hawaii, you definitely don't want to stay in one spot, you should at least go to two islands and explore a bit. Its too beautiful to stay on one island. And I've never heard of an all inclusive but heard great things about the cruise. We stayed at the Hyatt in Maui, Fairmont Orchid in Kona and Outrigger Reef in Honolulu.

Being from Hawaii, I can tell you, you def should not do an all inclusive! You will not get to taste real hawaiian food, and see all the island has to offer. And you also need 10 days or more to truly see Hawaii. On Oahu you can stay on the strip and get every where from there because there is a bus system. There is way too much to do to stay in one place. But if you do stay at Oahu make sure you go to the Polynesian Cultural Center and stay for the Luau!
