FH just called from a function he is at with his father. I am assuming that it is at some sort of catering hall or something. He says 'You know, we should consider having chair covers at our wedding because all of these chairs have schmutz all over them and will dirty everyone's clothes.' Well that left me dumbfounded as:
a) We havent started looking for a place yet.
b) We don't know the conditions of the chairs at the place we will choose (they might be nice)
and
c) I didn't think he cared that much or paid attention to detail.
I, personally, think this is a completely unnecessary expense and my mom will laugh her a$$ off when I tell her that he suggested it. But to appease him, I told him that it was something to think about and consider. I suppose I should be happy that he cares that much.
Does anyone else have an FH who all of a sudden shows interest in things you didn't think they would care about? I am curious.

I guess since it is so hard to get him motivated about anything other than football and Syracuse Basketball, I should be grateful. I'm still scratching my head in wonder.

Absolutely!! My FH says the other day that he doesn't want me to have 1 color roses my bo-k and that he would prefer a few different color roses.
I nearly fell off the chair in shock.

Re: He fascinates me
I was shocked the DH wanted to be involved at all..I thought he would just want me to handle it. And although he didn't come with me to all the venders he really wanted to be involved when i narrowed them down to my favorites

FH is going to be very firm on picking the band. He plays an instrument and all of his friends from school were in the marching band so if the music isn't good, I'll hear about it. I told him that we will have a music budget from my family and that if he wants a band that costs more, he will have to pay the rest. He was fine with that. I would trust his choice for bands, but flowers? I dunno. I don't know if he could tell a callalilly from cauliflower. But he is certainly chock full of surprises.
