So we had another sono today and he is estimated at 6lbs 12oz. I am 34wks 3days. Steve was using his fine math skills and determined if I go full term and he grows at the rate he has been growing he will be like 10lbs 4oz at birth!!!!! His head is way down in my pelvic region the sono tech had to have me lay down flat to see his head. So hopefully I will go early

On the bright side, I was told that a 10 pound baby doesn't hurt any more or less than a 5 pound baby when you are giving birth, so as long as he's healthy, no worries!

Awww Stacey as Jenn said as long as he is healthy that is all that matters! But maybe have DH have a stomach to father chat and tell him to hold off on his growth spurt until he is a little older!

BTW... this was my lil big guy... a few weeks old
He looks dark in the pic, but he was pure white... you'd never know he was 10lbs 5 oz!! He looks proportioned! (ETS: His conehead went down and he now has a perfectly round head!)
Wow you even have mine beat............Thomas was 10 pounds 3 ozs............Good luch Stacey.........he will be fine..............

Ahhhh, this brings back those 'I'm having a *huge* baby' memories!!
At my 36 w, 0 d sono, the Dr. told me 'definitely over 7 pounds'... at my 40 w, 4 d sono he said '9 lbs., 10 oz. - this baby will be at or over 10 lbs. if you go next week'!!
Sean was born 41 w, 4 days and he was 9 lbs., 5 oz.! I swore he'd be 10+... These 'estimates' are seldom accurate!!
I can't wait for Damien to arrive!!! Hang in there, Stacey!!

The sono estimates are usually wrong, Don't worry about it. He is healthy and that is all that matters.

My brother was a full 10lbs when he was born with a full head of hair. My mother said people at the hospital thought she had her 2 month old in with her
Make sure you do not wash a lot of 0-3 month clothes. He will not be needing many of those.

LMAO Stacey!!!! I'll find out tomorrow how big the Bear Cub is because I have another sonogram and probably non-stress test!! I told you, my friend had a 10 1/2 pounder 2 years ago! We can do it!!!!
I still say, I don't know what the heck is in these prenatal vitamins these days, but all the babies that I know have been born since May have all been 8 1/2 pounds and over -- most of them in the 9 pound range!!!!!! We're birthing some big babies these days!!
Oh geez, I better shut up. Knowing my luck I'll have magilla gorilla or something!!!!
Don't worry Stacey, we're in this together -- we've been following each other's lead the whole time, why stop now!
