HE SAID IT!!!!

HE SAID THE 'L' WORD FIRST!!

heres how it went down...

he basically sat me down on the couch and was like 'look, i have to talk to you about something really serious, and really important...'

i kinda freaked out and thought he was breaking up with me

and he goes 'its not really easy to say this... and ive wanted to say it for a while now...'

and then his phone rang.

so he gets off the phone and i didnt say anything and he was like 'okay, back to the serious discussion:

and he goes 'alright. so here it is... and it has nothing to do with the dog or the cat or anything else... it only has to do with me and you... but i love you'

and he got soooo nervous right after he said it

he was like 'you dont have to say it back to me... its been a really long time since ive said that to someone and actually meant it, so that took a lot for me, and i shouldve said it when i first started to feel it but i was nervous and i didnt want you to think that i was moving too fast'

so i was like... 'stop talking.' i kissed him, and then i said 'i love you too.'

it was the sweetest first 'i love you' ive ever had!

**ETA: he happens to be allergic to my cat, and he said 'im going to try and start building up a tolerance to the cat fur... i think im going to be spending a lot more time here... besides, my dad was allergic to cats, but his new wife had one, and they got married,.... i'm just sayin...' lol

I said the 'L' word first/ when he first said it we were on vacation in bermuda when he tool me into a cove along a beach we were walking on and kissed me and said it. I almost fainted. that was one of the happiest moments of my life!

OMG congrats!!!!!!!!! that is going to be such a memorable moment for the rest of your life.

supposedly, i said the 'L' word first when i was completely drunk (we weren't even dating yet, but we had been friends for months). and supposedly he said it back, although i don't even remember the whole ordeal! after that night, though, our relationship had definitely changed. four months later we were out celebrating his birthday with friends and i slept over his house (because i was drunk and lived an hour away in Brooklyn). he woke me up in the middle of the night that night and said, 'I love you Bonnie'. for all I knew, it was the first time I was hearing him say that and I thought it was the sweetest most romantic thing ever!!!! two weeks later, on Valentine's Day, he asked if I remembered the first time we said our I love you's. I was so embarrassed because I had no clue!!!

I love this story - my FH and I had been out all night drinking and we were supposed to crash at his friend's house, but the air mattress had a leak in it so we went out to his car to get something and we were drunk enough that the idea of sleeping in his car sounded like a good idea. Plus, we had been moving him from one apartment to the other, so the back was already down and it seemed like it was going to be more comfy than a hardwood floor. So I have a tendency of falling asleep quite easily, and I guess sees I'm asleep and decides to start telling me a whole bunch of things that he's too nervous to say to me when I'm awake. He says he was talking to me for a while... and then he said 'and... I love you' He looked at me and my eyes shot right open. Hahaha. He then goes 'um,... how long have you been awake for?' And I said, 'long enough to say I love you too'. I think it is such a cute memory and knowing how hard it is to wake me up, we feel it is somewhat of a miracle too!

I ruined it for FH the first time. I knew he wanted to say it and I just kept looking at him saying what's wrong.... is something on your mind... Just tell me what you want to say.... He said it but I knew it was coming.
