Headaches and birth control..question...

Has anyone else experienced headaches when they first started any bc pill?

I started last monday and almost every day since then, I have suffered from really bad headaches! I am a headache sufferer on a normal basis but this is a different one and excedrin (which is usually my wonder drug) doesnt seem to be helping at all!

I dont seem to have any other side effects from them and I dont know if these more frequent headaches are just a coincedence or not? Anyone else?

Headaches are a very common side effect of the BC pill. Sometimes your body will adjust and other times you may have to change your pill to one that doesn't have that effect on you.

I know for myself, I can't take the BC pill at all b/c it aggrivates my chronic migraines.

I experience some of the same when I went on the patch last year .

I was already a regular headache sufferer but on the patch I got headaches much WORSE than I'd ever experienced, not to mention far far different than the ones I typically get. I gave up on it after 3 months of hell, it gave me way too many other side effects also.

I would say give it some time for your body to adjust to the pill, my gyno always tells me you have to give it 3 months unless the syptoms are too severe to tolerate and/or do not subside ..
