Does anyone get headaches from stress? I do every once in a while and they last for days and nothing takes it away. It's not a typical headache and it feels like pressure. I have been do the dr. had mris and it's nothing but good old stress.
Does anyone get these? What do you do to relieve it?

Advil, Advil Advil! Maybe it's all in my head but Advil Liquid gels is where it's at for any headache... Even a migrane! And I am loaded with stress, and allergies

Re: Headaches from stress
Sounds like you need a good massage or a bubble bath or something.
I get headaches from stress, but they're usually also because I am not getting enough sleep while I'm stressed. I'm prone to insomnia, so that usually goes hand in hand. I'll wake up in the morning after a non-quality sleep and feel like someone punched me in the eyes. Not pleasant.
I usually actually try a little extra caffeine (I'm not a caffeine drinker normally) and I find that helps a lot. Caffeine and chocolate both seem to help the headache go away until I have a chance to get more sleep.
I personally go with the tylenol rapid release, but if the headache is bad enough it doesn't do anything for it either.
Sorry you're going through this! Hope it dissipates soon!!

I'm glad to hear I'm not alone. I don't know anyone else this happens to. A massage sounds like a good idea!!! I can't take xanex because it has weird effect on me and makes me sleep for a lonnnnnggg period of time. Any other suggestions.

I get tons of headaches...I was actually diagnosed with chronic tension headaches a while back. Massage is definitely a huge help and would suggest that. Also, have you ever gone to a chiropractor? I go once a week for prevention of headaches and it really helps. Exercise is good for prevention but not good if you already have a headache. Also keeping myself hydrated really helps too. Advil usually works better than tylenol for me. I hope I helped a little.

A topic I dont see to often.. but can def relate!
I get stress heaches often... most recent one was two weeks ago and I was home for 2 days in bed... in so much pain.. it would come and go.. almost to a point I think its something more.. but its tension heacahes.. First time ever I took Excedrin and it took it away in the matter of minutes! But I get them really bad.. I normally have my FH massage my temples until I fall asleep which works wonders.. and I drink Lemon Herb Tea... and lots of it...

Does insurance cover weekly chiropractor visits?

Re: Headaches from stress
Be careful with advil/ibuprofen/motrin. If taken around the clock it can cause rebound headaches. Take 800mg once. If that doesn't do it try something else

I get stress headaches too and you should find a way to relax yourself. I started going to the gym and it helps me. That and prioritize whats worth your aggravation and what's not, you know?

I don't really get aggravated that much. There are two people in my family dying of cancer and they are both in the hospital right now. On top of that it's been hectic at work and I'm working 2 jobs. Then add on the wedding planning stress. This happens to me every few months and I can't stand it. Maybe I should work out.

Re: Headaches from stress
yes i get them. They were so bad that i had to get MRIs for it.
I noticed that (now that i wear glasses) I feel much better, but i also try to lay down and doing something to calm down to help.

Re: Headaches from stress
I've been getting really bad tension headaches. I usually take Advil Liquigels, they do the trick, or Excedrin tension headache works also. If that doesn't help, chamomile helps relax....make sure it's tea without caffeine. Maybe you should have a day at the spa to help relax...
You are def. not alone on this one
