i have my heart set on wearing a mantilla fingertip length veil.
i dont plan on wearing my veil after my first dance. what kind of headpiece (if any) should i wear?
also... my FH wants me to wear my hair down but i want to wear it up? does one look better than the other with a mantilla?

a mantilla veil looks really nice with hair down -- play around with different styles at your hair trial

check out rosella's review (mrs. bartontobe) she wore a mantilla, hair up, with a really pretty headpiece and she looked gorgeous

I wore a cathedral mantilla with my hair down. I just wear a comb and pulled the sides up. Took the veil off after the ceremony. I initially wanted to wear my hair up/back in a low chignon type thing....but then at my last fitting, I tried on the veil with the dress and pulled my hair back and then let it down, and it looked more 'complete' with it down.
But that's just me....maybe once you get your veil do the same thing....just play around and see what you like better.

i'm bring 2 pics with me for my trial.. lol. one up and one down. i am chunky and have a round face so which ever doesnt make me look like a bride-blob is the one i'm going with. lol

I also got a mantilla veil, and I think I am wearing my hair down...I am too chub to wear it up!!

I have a mantilla and a headpiece and my hair is going to be half up. Here is a pic from my trial
I think it looks really nice with hair down. my veil wasn't a true mantilla but it's comparative. I wore a full crown b/c it went with my theme, but i think you can wear any kind you want.
