Headpieces and veils...

Headpieces and veils...

Now that I have my wedding gown, how do I go about picking out a head piece and veil? I know I want an updo, and a veil that goes just past my shoulders. I want it to go behind my head. What kind of head piece do you use for this? Is it some kind of bun wrap? How do you pick out one? Do you just get what you like or do you match styles with your dress? I'm clueless. Thanks!

I went to Bridal Boutique in Massapequa and they have a huge selection of all types or headpieces!! You should try there.

Good Luck

Try Patchogue Floral. I know many girls who got beautiful headpieces there and their prices are great.

I got my headband/tiara off ebay for a grand total of $13.99 (included shipping). I love it. It has two small rows of pearls with a center row of rhinestones. Exactly what I wanted.

As for my veil, I am ordering it from www.veilshop.com. They have so many ways to order them so that you cutomize them to your specifications. My diamond white, 2-tier elbow-length veil with a small embroidered edge will cost me about $55.

What I did was to first go to the place where I bought my gown, and while I was in the gown (or the sample), ask the saleswomen which headpieces they thought was best with the dress. Then, with my gown on, I tried on soooo many, to get an idea of what looked good with it. Then, I knew what I wanted, and went elsewhere to get it.
