HearzBellz - Shiba ?

HearzBellz - Shiba ?

Does Loki have a sensitive tummy. Sandy has been a little off all week but she seemed to be getting better then this morning my DH woke me up saying that she had pooped in her cage and threw up when he let her out. She also had some diarrhea.

What do you feed Loki? Its seem any little tiny change in her diet can set her off.

I do have to ease Loki into a new food slowly, as he reacts to sudden changes in diet.

He is now eating Canidae, but I was mixing that with Evolve, which is what he ate as a small puppy.

I love the Canidae b/c all the dogs are doing very well on it, and there is not a specific puppy, senior, active formula, so I can buy it in bulk for all the dogs. The downside is that it is hard to find.

The other food that was recommended to me by another Shiba Inu owner was Chicken soup for a dog lover's soul. That is much easier to find.

Is she suffering from the heat? I know this week both Loki & Foxy were having some digestive issues with the heat.

I hope she feels better

Thanks for the info. I am glad its just not me. We have central air on in the house so I don't think its the heat but maybe it is. Where can I find both of these foods?

I feel like I am a bad mommy.

You are not a bad mommy. I also had the air on in the house, but for some reason they still got a little sick.

Canidae can be found at Pet Supplies 'Plus' stores. also check out their website for other stores www.canidae.com

Chicken Soup for a dog lover's soul is in almost every pet store. The best price I ahve seen it for so far though is the Pets Warehouse on Sunrise Highway in Copaigue (that huge place on the north side of the street).

Also try giving her a little plained boiled white rice with her food today, to help the diarreah.

I have just one more question. Do you feed them wet food?

Thanks for all your help. I am so glad there is another shiba mommy around.

Anytime.

I don't give them wet food, it makes them all very gassy. I do sometimes boil an egg & mix that in with their food though, for extra protein and to help with their coat.
