My office is around 83 degrees right now. Our air conditioner can't keep up with the # of servers in the office. I AM DYING!! I'm 30 weeks PG and my feet are swollen...everyone is complaining and my boss is doing NOTHING!!
Is there any NYS law of the temperature an office should be?
Any info anyone has would be appreciated! I called in sick on Friday because of this problem!

Just called OSHA and they said that they only had guidelines for outdoor work in NYC, but they would transfer me to compliance so that I could get an answer about office building temperatures, but I got a voicemail. SO...hopefully someone will call back. This is just unbelievable!!!

Being pregnant you really shouldn't have to deal with that. I feel for you b/c my classroom is about 900 degrees right now & the kids have been sweating & are in uniforms.

I think it's time to tell your boss that since he can't find it in him to crank up the a/c, you can't find it in you to work. Time to head home!!!!

I was just going to post the same thing, I am a teacher, and there is NO a/c in the school. It is sooo hot, and I am down in Virginia!

At my job, if there is no A/C and the outside temp reaches 85 degrees or higher, they must shut down the building and send everyone home. It's happened before. But we have a union so maybe that's why that rule exists.

I would kill for 83. Yesterday my office was 91, and today it went down to 86. Sorry, I don't know about any laws though, I really wish I did!!
