we actually did really well. we fell in LOVE with the house in Seaford and made a bid, which the homeowner accepted!!!! I think they knew we were serios when we faxed over our pre-approval letter. Now we are waiting to here back from our lawyer. I honestly have no idea what comes next in this process though. Again, any pointers are more then greatly appreciated![]()

I lived in Seaford for a bit by the canals and loved it!!!
also all 3 districts are really great...Seaford...Island Trees and MacArthur (Levittown)

HEATHER YOU WILL LOVE IT!!!! I always felt like I was on vacation in a coastal New England town when I was going home!!!!

I was on Island Channel Road...and there was a small house for sale when of course I had no money!! i should have begged stole and borrowed!!

Wow, Heather, how exciting!
You need to get an engineer in there for an inspection. This comes before the contract because if anything worth bringing up needs fixing (ie.-our house had a broken window) you can have it written in the contract that the purchase of the home is contingent upon those things being fixed.
After that the lawyers draw up a contract and you'll be very close to everything becoming official!
You also need a termite inspection but I no longer remember if that came before or after the contract.
Someone jump in if I missed something.
