HEEELPPP....where to take my pics

Hi Girls, I am getting married in April and am looking for a nice, inexpensive place to take pictures before I can go to my catering hall to take some there. I am getting married at the Beach Club Estate in Lake Ronkonkoma so anything close to there would be great. Any help you could give would be appreciated. My sister was talking about the Holbrook Ecology Center. Has anyone ever been there. Thanks

We took pictures at the Bayard cutting arboretum in Oakdale. We used the area behind the house that leads to the lake. It was beautiful! You have the house for some pictures and the lake for others.

I went to see the ecology center but its only 1 room that they let you take pictures in. I personally wasn't happy with it.

Do not, I repeat, DO NOT go to the Holtsville Ecology Center. My brother and SIL had their pictures taken there because it rained the day of their wedding and they came out terrible. Not only b/c the photog was terrible but also, there was no place to really take pictures. The floor is painted this awful green color and it smelled to boot! Oh what a horrible experience. I will never forget it!! Definitely consider the Bayard Cutting Arborietum - much nicer.

ET Change Holbrook to Holtsville.

My sister took her pics there. It was very plain, no flowers or anything. I will try to attach some pics

Mine at Holtsville were awesome! They were taken by my cousin. Their flowers were gorgeous! They just added a waterfall outfront. Theres a cool windmill and a gazebo. We didnt even use the inside. All you need is a good photographer and you can take them anywhere!!

I'm kinda in the same situation...but with 3 weeks to go I'm really starting to stress!

NO idea where to take pictures. How far is Bayard Arbortorium from Islandia Marriott??

Also...someone mentioned Hyatt Windwatch..are you able to take pictures on their grounds if you're not staying there?

Yes, I called the Hyatt WindWatch and they said you can take pics there for free even if you are not staying there. It is beautiful there. They said the only thing you have to keep in mind is that if there is a bride that is staying there or having her reception, obviously she gets priority in taking pics. I would call to see how many brides are gonna be there that day.
