Re: HELEN!!!
thanks so much Jamie
I feel odd that I really am OK - its not that I don't miss my dad, but I am not upset by it / thinking about it all the time - you know.
I think the wake and funeral at home were good for us and we know dad didn't suffer, and he's not in a hospital struggling to live, and my mum is not nursing him - it was the exact way he wanted to go.
I'm not sure if this is cold of me - sometimes I wonder if my feelings now are normal.
Its really at odd times that I think of him, and old memories come up - I was planning a LO I want to work on at the crop, and it involved a place we used to visit together, and I got a little mopey, but on the whole I'm OK
I think the biggest part of my feeling this way is that I know my mom is fine - she is a very stong woman, with a great network of friends at home. Dad had a good life, with a lot of friends, who came to pay respects at the funeral.
I had just finished the Mitch Album book - the five people you meet in heaven, about a week before he died, and I keep remembering all the people whose lives dad touched - right up to the wedding, where he met so many of my friends and they met him.
OK - I am getting mopey no - and I'm rambling
So, see you Saturday - looking forward to it
Thanks Helen

I don't think it is cold of you at all. I think you are being realistic!!
