I am torn between Helen Chiasson and Christies & Co. Has anyone used either salon for their wedding hair/ makeup? What was your experience? Any other suggestions? I am trying to find someone local. Thank you!!!!

I've gone to Christies twice when I've been in bridal parties and both experiences were nothing to write home about. Honestly, I think the girls who work there are rude and stuck up. I dont know about Helen Chiasson though.

I used R&L Salon on Utopia Pkwy in Whitestone...my girls and I had the whole salon and they did a gorgeous job on hair and makeup (pics in album)
I went to CHristies to check them out and they were rude and not personal...I didnt want that on my day...plus its so big if yourgirls are there with you you wont really be spending time with them...at R&L we brought bagels and took over the salon it was so much fun...HTH

I don't know about Helen, but I've been going to Christies for a long time. Yes, the stylists are stuck up and can be snotty, the receptionist is rude unless you know her, but they do amazing work. There is always a bridal party in there every weekend, and during communion season all the little girls are in there.
If you can't choose between the two quality of work wise, then choose the one that is closest to you location wise. Less travelling = less stress.

I've gone to christie's for make up twice. They do a really nice job and it's pretty inexpensive compared to other salons. The receptionists are rude but the make up girls are always very pleasant. HTH

same here, i got make up done twice there, not for my wedding day though. One time for my e-pics and another time when i was a bm. Both make up artists that i used were extremely nice and friendly. I did get my hair done both times too and first time the lady was real nice, the 2nd time she was a bit snotty and made a weird remark that really annoyed me.
