I just received a call from Cook World saying that my FH and I have won a contest from entering in one of the web sites. They stated that we won a 3day 2 night hotel accommodation for two, a $1,000.00 grocery gift card, and 20-40% off products at Cook World.. Is this Legit??? Has anyone heard of this? i have to meet with them tomorrow at the Holiday Inn in Hauppague.. Should I go? Does this sound like a scam?

I just received the same exact phone call!!!
Her name was Kathy & she said that all they ask is 10 questions at the end of a 90 minute presentation but that you get 3 day 2 night trip (choose from 20 diff places) and then a $1,000 supermarket gift card and then 20-40% coupon for cook world products..... I was just telling FH, is this too good to be true??? Plus its July 4th weekend.... who really wants to go sit for a 90 min presentation... but if it is legit, I would ?!??!

Anybody else have feedback????

We got the same thing!! We were supposed to go to a hotel.. i forget which one... for the presentation... but we never went. FH thought it was a huge scam and didnt want to waste our time.

I got the exect same phone call months ago. I didn't go - figured it was a scam.

Yeah, I got that call too. They got my number from a bridal show. I hate stuff like that. Even if it was legit I wouldn't want to go be pressured to buy their crap.

its a scam its happened to me before they wanted me to go to some seminar at a hotel so claim my prize blah blah blah they just want you to buy pots pans and such
