are there any western suffolk restaurants that would do a fixed menu for maybe 30 people for under $20 pp??

Ayhan's Shish Kebab? There are a few of them. I always go to the one in the Source mall, but I think they have one in Plainview...
I don't know if all locations do parties, but the food is really, really good. Might want to look into it!
eta: Their party packages were very reasonable when a friend looked into them!

What about a place like Mama's In Copiague? They don't have a separate room but their food is SOOOOO good and pretty reasonable.

Is this for RD? My brother had his at La Famiglia in Smithtown. I don't know how much it cost PP, but we just got a bunch of family style dishes and it was SOOOO GOOD!!!

I think I am the only one that is not really having a formal RD. So we looked at option and decided to go to PF Changs. THeir meals are inexpensive and it is laid back, if that is the feel you are going for.
