Hello and SOOOO overwhelmed! Help me!

Hi 2011 ladies! I've missed you!

i'm sorry I haven't been on. My job has some MAJOR changes (involving everyone having to interview for their own jobs, lots of training, lots of transitions) and I feel like my head is totally going to explode with everything at work, and then there's the WEDDING, just ONE year and ONE week away!

I hope you're all well. On the wedding front, I'm working on getting the high res images of the photos I'm using in the STD from my photographer which is hard bc the files are so huge and the design keeps changing. I designed this below, but FH doesn't like the picture on the upper left. He thinks I look horrified. I think it's cute. Thoughts? I originally had a kissing picture there but my mom said 'that's private',,so I really can't win.

I've also been going insane over hotel blocking:

Choice A- Marriott $150. 4 miles from the hall, not that nice in terms of amenities.

Choce B- Garden City Hotel - $200- 2 miles from hall, but again, not much offered

Choice C- The Inn @ Fox Hollow- 8 miles from hall $180 but includes shuttle and breakfast. I had originally discounted it as being too far away, but I think this is what we're going to go with. The only other issues are that you have to guarantee 60%, and that it's actually 8 miles past the hall, and our CH starts only 1hour - 1 hour 15 min after the ceremony ends (30 min from the RH) so I'm afriad people will end up being late if they go back to the hotel for the shuttle.

AUgh so confused.... Help me girls!

And tell me..what's been going on?

I'm no help, but i'm shocked that th Inn at Fox Hollow was only $180 a night...It's BEAUTIFUL there!

Sorry I can't help with room blocks, but just my two cents

I'm an Inn Bride. According to mapquest it's 8 point something miles to FH.

The Marriott is not bad and we'd get points, I think, but it's a litle confusng for guests to get to and we'd have to get our own shuttle and breakfast

I think the photo is fine and you don't look horified well at least to me you don't. Also, I would pick option C. The shuttle would be the key factor in my decision especially if you are going to have people drinking. You don't want them be drinking all night and then drive back to the hotel that is my major concern.

We looked at the Marriot too as well as the Garden City Hotel. Why not the Hyatt in Garden City? Its beautiful, really! There is also a Hampton Inn right there.

I've stayed at the GC hotel and its really not all that great lol. It's very expensive and kinda old looking. The Foxhollow hotel is amazing and beautiful, but I think that is a little far from NHP, esp if you don't want people being late for CH (depending on traffic and all). I know there is a brand new hotel on Jericho TNPKE in Floral Park/Bellerose (which is up the road from NHPI) And I hear its a reasonable price. I think its Quality Inn. Hope that helps!
