I've been browsing this site for a while now and finally feel ready to be apart of the community. I'm getting married on July 23, 2010 in New Rochelle. I have a ton of DIY projects that I'm taking on and can't wait to get the ball rolling. Here's a list of the things I'm planning to diy:

Programs (if we have them) Invitations Thank Yous
We were going to do our own STD's, but we got a great deal from Vistaprint
We have thought about DIY flowers and centerpieces (or crystal bouquets for the bridesmaids)
I want to make an Aisle Runner, not sure if I will have time though
I had originally planned to do favors (may still) but FH wants to find out how much it would be for small bottles of Mead/.

Ahhh yes, I forgot to mention centerpieces as well. I have a really big apprehension towards shelling out thousands of dollars for flowers. I just personally can't allow myself to do it, and besides, the place we're getting married at has panoramic views of the water. Instead i'm considering doing tall vases with lamp shades and LED lights inside the vase. This is my inspiration picture:
btw, crystal bouquets are gorgous! and they can be passed on to a friend or daughter as a something old or borrowed! Kudos for the crystal bouquet!

Congrats Goldie!! We are going to be doing DIY's also STD's Invite's OOT Bags Menu's Favor's (Maybe...just maybe...) Centerpieces Personalized Waterbottles
Its going to be a ton of work, but it will be worth it in the end!! Good luck with the planning!!

Welcome.
We have the following DIY projects in the works:
-STDs -wedding favors -unity candles -possibly invites (as soon as I can decide on wedding colors) -placecards and menus if need be
