I'm guilty as charged of doing the same thing. Things are disappearing from my registry as well. I said I was going to stop....but still peek from time to time.

I am a registry peeker. Someone gave me something yesterday and I was upset that i had not noticed it missing from my registry....I must have skimmed too fast on my last check.

Well, Nicole, the first step to healing is recognizing that you have a problem. You are half way to recovery. Now this could be a 12 step (or helpful hints) program if you follow every step.
1) Recognizing you have a problem (Done - 11 more to go)
2) Accepting that All-Clad and Calphalon mean different things to different people.
3) No matter what happens, a quesadilla maker MAY make it to your bridal shower.
4) YES. You will have to wear that goofy hat your guests make for you from the ribbons that wrapped your addiction.
5) Silver flatware, though looks nice, will give you hours of clean up for years to come.
6) You can never have too many corkscrews.
7) It is ok to return something if you decide later that you don't want it.
8) Your FH holding the scanning gun is NOT the same as giving up your right to bear arms.
9) Your mother's taste is NOT your taste and therefore it is OK to register for what YOU like.
10) Unless FH is willing to clean it, he cannot register for it. (i.e. 60 inch plasma television set)
11) Always wear sensible shoes in Fortunoff or any major department store in which you register.
12. There is no 'Angel Nicole' on one shoulder and no 'Devil Nicole' on the other telling you NOT to look.
