hey listen to this, rather than naming names of catering halls and asking opinions let me put it this way, I promise this is the last time I will ask about reception halls...........
would you rather 1.) get married in a hall you know is outstanding but only know this because your sister got married there, i love this place it is beautiful, the service is wonderful, the food is outstanding
2.) get married in anothr hall that seems great is less money, a bit further away, maybe not as good but its not the place your sister got married,
maybe seems silly just want opinions

I wouldn't want to get married at the same place as my sister but that is jmo. how does your sister feel about you getting married there?

Well, what's YOUR gut? It seems the only reason you would pick number 2 is because your sister did not get married there. So I say be smart and go with number one. Who cares that your sis got married there? My mom and aunt did the same thing

if you love the place your sister got married, I'd got for it. The only reason to choose the other one would be the price. it seems like the major issue though is that it was the same palce as your sis. I'd say go for it. My sister had the most beautiful wedding at CHCC and if I could afford it, and I wanted the big hall setting I'd definitely do it. I already know it's high quality. Who cares that your sis had it there? You cna ahve it in another toom maybe, or if not, your colors will probably be different, your flowers will look different. it won't be a repeat of the same wedding, no matter what, so I'd definitely go for it! You and your sister both have good taste.

my sister got married @ North Ritz...loved it but it was off limits...she said she didn't care but deep down, your suppose to know certain things with out being told

to me it sounds like you don't want to get married at the same place as your sister which I could understand. However, it doesn't seem like you love the other place. Maybe you need to keep searching for the perfect place for you.

my mom & her sister got married at the same hall. ( The Naraganset- it burnt down)
Its not that big of a deal. At least you won't have peopel saying, this is nice, but I liked the palce 'so & so' got married at more.

its really what you want.. i picked the hall different than my sister cause it wasnt want i wanted.. but if i wanted the hall my sister had i wouldnt care so much that she already had it..

Do you love the hall? Can - this was a question for you before - can you afford the hall? Then book it.

definitely go with what your heart tells you. My sister got married at CHCC this past summer and no matter how much I loved it, I would not want to get married there (JMO) I want something different, although not necessarily more expensive but just have diffrent pics and things like that. Bottom line: do what feels right. I am sure you will find the place you want.

I would say keeping looking at different halls. There are definately more than one spectacular places. I would not copy your sister. Find a place that is special FOR YOU!

if i was your sister and you got married @ villa lombaris it would kind of hurt my in a way i would feel like you were going out of your way to 'show me up ' esp when you compare the financial situations
Do whatever YOU want to and feel right to do it is YOUR DAY & YOUR MONEY and you arent taking away from your sisters day at all .
I couldnt imagine telling my sister that if i do end up getting married at my parents house in June , then she shouldn't get married there for her wedding in September
Please , my day will have came and went and its not like shes marring my husband ... HE is what will have made MY day special
Hunnie if your sister is anything like you, (so loving and unselfish ) im sure she will take this as something positive and not negative

I can tell you that my brother got married at the same place that we're getting married. I swore up and down that I would NEVER got married where he got married (had his reception actually) and went to about 12 places to prove that that wouldn't happen and IT DID!! ! And we're all ok w/ it b/c it's one less thing you have to worry about and also we found they were more comprimising w/ price and what they'd throw in b/c your family is a repeat customer. If that's your ONLY reason for not wanting to get married then really think about it.

TY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MUAH She doesn't mind, the problem is that I don't know if I do or not, I know its a great place, Im just gonna look a bit more, fortunately I have time so I'm gonna look at Captain Bills and Leonards of Great Neck, both are a bit cheaper also. So I'm not gonna stress over it for right now.
