Re: Help.......
I know it really sucks, but it's for a good cause. I only have bad nausea in the evenings and just sleeping it off helps me. If yours is happening anytime of the day, try the saltines. I resisted, but they really do help me. Also try ginger ale.
It will get better, just hang in there.

Hang in there
It will all pass. Just try to eat bland foods and bread products to coat your stomach. I also found room temperature Sprite would calm my stomach.

Re: Help.......
Ask your doctor if you can take ginger pills. I know they are over the counter, but you never know and it is all natural. Feel better soon!

Re: Help.......
I was sick for almost 4 months straight, I lost almost 5 lbs, its a terrible feeling I know , try to eat to ward off the nausea (easier said then done), get as much rest as you can. Your dr may prescribe a b vitamin to help, but that might not do it.
I read up that if you are throwing up that much, the doctor may be able to prescribe you Kytrol (spelled wrong), a drug used for cancer patients that get sick from Chemo. I had called the doctor one day, and he was going to call in teh prescription, but I felt better the following day so I didn't fill it... Ask them about it!

Re: Help.......
my doc would only give me the meds if I was throwing up for 12 hours straight. In my case it affected me for about 16 hours starting at midnight but I would only get sick about 6 times within that period. man, did that suck. Dh used to make sure he left the house way before me or way after me because who ever drove next to me during my commute must have been so sick by time they go there because of watching me and my garbage bag in traffic.

Re: Help.......
Oh my God! How horrible. No, mine is no where near that bad. Just a constant queasy feeling and vomiting once a day around 11:00. I don't eat breakfast till almost 10:00 am and then I take my vitamins... So I think that has something to do with it. I have the morning sickness from the time I get up till lunch time. After lunch, I am kind of ok. last night I had it at night too..
I guess I really shouldn't complain after hearing what you have been through. You poor thing.... :(

Re: Help.......
Denise!! Feel free to complain it sucks. Mine luckily lessened up alot around 9 weeks (or so I think.. lol) and started at 6.5 weeks Hopefully you won't have it for another 8 weeks.
The only thing that helped me was having a saltine in my mouth just as I opened my eyes from sleep. If I lifted my head first I was screwed.

Re: Help.......
So how did you manage that. Did your DH put it in your mouth. I tried that (not even lifting my head and eating the saltines and I choked!) Anyway, for me, it really made no difference, I got sick anyway. Thanks for the advice. Hopefully this doesn't last much longer!

Re: Help.......
I threw up from week 6 through week 17 when I was pregnant with my twins. I found anything lemon helped - lemonade, lemon pops, lemon candy to suck on.
Maybe you should try and take your vitamin at night? Maybe it's too much for you in the morning.
Some friends recommended those sea bands that you wear for seasickness. Sometimes it helps with morning sickness.
As awful as it was to be sick, it's a good sign for the pregnancy. Also, I felt great for the rest of my pregnancy & had my twins at 36 weeks. I'd do it again in a second!
Hope you feel better soon.

Re: Help.......
Thanks,
Well I am drinking water with lemon, which does seem to help and also ginger ale.
I also have been wearing the seabands. I am not sure if they are helping or not. I mean maybe the ms would be worse if I didn't wear them.
Oh, I know it is a good sign and it will all be worth it, it is just hard to think of that when I am getting sick..
The last two pregnancies I had which ended in miscarriage at 6.5 weeks I had no MS and was like wow this is great, little did I know I was miscarrying... :(

Re: Help.......
I am still throwing up. I have lost just over 10 lbs. My doctor said if it got worse they would prescribe something. Otherwise you just have to work through it. FInd what works for you. All the girls had good suggestions.
Good Luck!

Re: Help.......
Denise - so sorry you're feeling so lousy. I've heard that if you eat more often during the day, keeping a full stomach can help.
Also, Trader Joe's has this stuff called 'crystalized ginger' and you chew it and it helps. May be worth a try.
