One of my bridesmaids just told me that she cant be in my wedding (long and sad story) but anyway now I want to ask my cousin in her place. How do I ask her and explain how we already picked the dress and stuff.

Did you order the dress?
If not, you can just ask her then. You have plenty of time until your wedding. If she knew you picked your BP already, then I would just explain what happened and say you would be honored if she would be a part of your wedding.
I have been asked to be in someone's wedding 2 months before the date. The dress was in already and thank god it was the same size. I would never want to be stuck and I felt so bad for the bride. I did not look at it as 'Last Minute' thing because there was about 50 other people she could have asked.

I was a Last Minute replacement for a friends wedding and I was so honored I never thought of myself as 2nd choice. However this same 'friend' dropped out of my wedding and I couldn't ask anyone else just because I didn't want someone to think they were 2nd choice. know what I mean?

I asked 1 of my friends waaaaaay after I asked everyone else. She wasnt my 2nd choice, I just decided to add her in a few months after I already told everyone else... I literally just said I wanted her to be a part of my BP and before I could even finish getting the words out she was practically in tears from joy! Just tell her she means alot to you and you want to have her as a part of your party. Say that you've been looking around and already decided which dress you liked for BMs and to have her check it out...
