So we booked our reception hall yesterday (North Ritz Club) for June 21, 2009, but we get a call from them to inform us that day is actually fathers day!!!! Ughhhh....So now I don't know if I should go for the 14th which is a bit earlier in the month then i would have liked, or the 28th which is the weekend before the 4th of July. I'm afraid people might be going away for that week since the 4th of July is the following weekend. What do you think?? Or do you think most people will probably just take longer 4th of july weekends??

That's a tough one !!! In my opinion, I would go with the earlier date in June. However, it is so far in advance that if you get the word out about the later date (weekend before July 4th) people may make plans around your wedding. If you are planning to send out save the dates, I think that this would give people ample time to rearrange their schedule. I know what you mean though about being unsure of other's plans for the holiday which is why I probably would go with the earlier date ! Good luck and hope this helps !
