help!!

FH's dad gave me a check and I think I lost it, I can't find it anywhere. What should I do?? I feel so embarrassed to admit I lost it. I feel sooo irresponsible!!!

if you are sure you lost it, you have to tell him so that he can cancel the check. Maybe he can just put a hold on it untill you find it, that happened to me a few years ago.

don't panic. maybe you didn't lose it... did you check all the spots in your purse? how about the pockets in your coat, pants, your car? between the seat and the middle console thingy is a good spot to lose things...

thanks for all those suggestions!! I have a memory of putting it into my wallet but I emptied out the whole thing tonight and it wasn't there! I'll check my car tomorrow, otherwise I just am so embarrassed to admit to him that it's lost. I don't want him to think I didn't care about it or something.

I'll be seeing him again this weekend and staying there for the entire week!! (through the holidays and all) so hopefully I will find it before then. Seriously, cash is always the way to go. I am so disorganized and always manage to lose checks.
