Has anyone been to any of the following places?
What are some things to do there?

1. Delaware
2. Maryland

4. Rhode Island
5. Virginia
6. West Virginia

MD-Baltimore Harbor, Camden Yards (Baseball stadium), DC is not far from Baltimore

CT-Mystic, Foxwoods

RI-Newport

VA- VA Beach, Downtown Richmond, Williamsburg

What time of year are you looking to go?

I used to live in Virginia Beach, what kinds of things are you looking to do there? The main attraction there is the ocean front and the hotels/tourist attractions, bars and restaurants. There is also camping close by if you are interested in that.

I've also been to Delaware but no place exciting!

I don't get to travel much sorry!

Lower Delaware has all those beach towns...Rehoboth, Bethany

There's no tax in Delaware so it's a good place to go shopping! That's about it though....

Love Rhode Island, went to college there. Newport is a lot of fun.

Well..I am trying to come up with fun ideas for honeymooning.

We were kind of planning to do disney- and were kinda settled on it.
The thing is- we just got back from the cruise and FH has decided that will be his last plane ride for a looong time. (He really hates flying- like it almost has him in tears) Also, I have never flown without my parents, and never had a problem until the first time I flew with him. He put the fear in me, and I am kinda scared to fly alone with him...lol

I came up with the idea of renting a house in montaulk or fire island for a week since it will be summer, and just using the first few days for ourselves and then having parties because it will be accessible to all family and friends.

Now i'm thinking we can do that any old time, I would like to go SOMEWHERE where we've never been before. Even if we do a little road trip around the east coast.

I dunno. I am at a loss. I have less than three months to come up with a plan...Help me

I'm getting married in Connecticut. I love it there! Our wedding is at a country inn in the north of the state, right where the Berkshires begin. It is picturesque, and where New England people 'summer' like how people here go to the Hamptons or Fire Island. On the south shore of CT you have lots of pretty towns and water/boating stuff to do. I don't care for Mystic because it's so crowded in the summer and so touristy - I'd stay in Old Saybrook 25 minutes away (a beautiful town!) and visit Mystic for the day.

I'd suggest the Hudson Valley too - LOVE it there. Tons of places for hiking, boating, etc. and pretty B&Bs, old homes to tour, vineyards, shopping....

Don't forget you can go to PA--
you have Dutch country or go to Philly or go to the Pocono's- that is only about a 3 hour ride from long island- good luck in your search

Virgina has plenty to do. I love going to WIlliamsburg, you can go to Busch gardens , or do the tour of colonial williamsburg, i had so much fun there.
