i have a budget of probably $100.00pp....

where should i be looking for a great wedding with this budget??

when should i be looking for also?? i know i should keep it off season for cheaper prices right??

also, what colors would you recommend for winter?? spring?? I am torn between wine red for winter, and for spring light green and light yellow!

any help would be great! thanks a bunch!

First up,
Congratulations and Welcome!

Your right moving the date into the off season would help you to get the vendors that you want at the price you can afford. November-March, give or take a month, is pretty much the off season. But I should warn you that some Reception Halls (RH) prices for December are a bit higher considering the somewhat extensive decorations used for Christmas. Hope this helps!

Re: help....

hMM, Depending on the season, you can definitely find places for under 100.

Check

Fox Hollow
Westbury Manor
Jericho Terrace
Crest Hollow Country Club
Chateau La Mer
Chateu Briande

Its definantly possible to have a beautiful wedding for under 100 per person. With tax I am paying around 74 per person, so its def doable.

WELCOME!!

Welcome and congrats on your recent engagement!

If you are flexible with season and also the day you get married that will lower down the price... for example, from jan - march is cheaper, and if you get married on a friday night, saturday afternoon, or sunday, that will bring the price lower as well vs. having it on a saturday night.

I am getting married in june which is 'peak season', but since i am having a saturday day wedding i was able to keep my costs just under $100 pp w/ tax and gratuity, which is what i was looking to do.

HTH & good luck!

Re: help....

another thing to consider is if you want a hall that does one wedding at a time, or multiple weddings. The halls with multiple weddings may be a little less per person, but you may wind up with a crowded hall depending on the popularity of your day. If you can get to Fortunoffs, they have a free copy of the book Wedding Sites and Services which will give price ranges, contact information and sample menus for a great number of the halls on LI, or you can check their website at

First, CONGRATS!!!

So if you don't mind Jan-Mar, you can do a lot of places for $100 pp. Also, keep in mind if you did a Friday/Sunday wedding you can also save money.

If you do a search on the forums for Reception Hall Quotes you can probably find some prices as well.

I would check out

Westbury Manor
Jericho Terrace
Lombardis (on the sound & villas)
Fox Hollow
Lessings
Check out country clubs, they usually have good pricing

CONGRATS!! There are alot of great places you can get married for less than 100pp. We're playing less than that and having it in July on a Saturday (our way to save $$ was were doing it in the afternoon instead of at night).

I definatly agree with the places the other girls suggested. Of course, I'm partial to Jericho Terrace, but some the others I like are Chateau Briand, Westbury Manor, Fox Hollow (has amazing prices).

I think time of year plays a role in terms of price, but I think day of the week and time of day is an even bigger factor. Sat. weddings are by the far the most expensive. Thursday nights are by far the cheapest.

Good luck!!

Re: help....

congrats!! i would recommed looking at the thatched cottage. for a summer wedding there are $100 a plate so i would think they would be cheaper in the winter. they always run specials too. im not sure what their limit is off hand.

Re: help....

you should try to think of what you are looking for. are you getting married at the RH? Are you looking to take pics outside? A lot of the lessings places look beautiful. We looked at Smithtown Landing which would fit your budget. We ended up booking the Swan club because they have A LOT of flowers outside.

Congratulations!!

Depending of whether or not you want to get married on a Saturday night will help you determine a lot! I wanted a Sat night- so we are getting married in Jan for under $100 pp that includes tax and tip. I would go with the off peak months to save money if you want a Sat night...But even if you are interested in a Friday or Sunday night or a day wedding $100 is a nice budget and there are many places to check out...

Chateau Briand, Floral Terrace, Fox Hollow...the list goes on and on...

Re: help....

YAY congrats on you engagement!!

First thing is you would need to determine what part of the year you want to get married in, Jan-Mar is MUCH cheaper than the rest of the year...Then do you want a friday, saturday or sunday...Saturday night is the most expensive, friday night decent, and sunday is pretty much the same price as friday. Then after that just look around at places like Chateau la mer, Riviera...those a generally affordable...
I just looked at Metropolitan and for a sunday in April-October it was 85pp...the same price fro friday, but saturday went as high as 110 per person...
