I got engaged June 2008. My fiance lost his job in October. This put a damper on wedding plans. Anyway...we are really short on cash and want to have a wedding this November reasonably priced. I looked at a bunch of places but they seem a bit over our heads. Anyone have recommendation on a hall, photographer, dj etc. We really can't afford to go nuts. Thanks for your help.

I'm sory this happened...Not sure what price range you were looking at before, but the cheapest RH i looked at was Leonards at around $80 pp for sunday in November.... I KNOW there are cheaper than this so dont worry! you can definitely find a place that will give you a beautiful wedding!!

Hey, so sorry to hear about this. It's a tough time for everyone. What areas are you looking at? Two of the MOST reasonable places I know of are- Riccardos by the Bridge and Brunos, both are in Queens. You can get $50pp and even less if you choose buffet or just beer and wine.
Do what is best for you and FH.
Photographer- there's lots to choose from here. You will want to go with 1 photographer with all digital proofs and NO albums (you can always make your own). Some to check out- Shira Z, Twelfth Night, Duet. DJ- Ultimate sound- DJ ONLY, no MC. That will cut costs. Girls here are SO helpful, you can totally make this happen

maybe you could try the brentwood cc... they have a package that includes everything: CH, open bar, dj, photo/video, etc

have u looked into verdis? i know they are on the less expensive side!!! Also with Flowers, talk to he RH u choose, they my have votive candles so u dont ave to buy them! also ITA about the DJ....no mc is less expensive. keep ur head up! we r here for u!
